HoYoverse has unveiled an exciting new update for *Tears of Themis* titled the "Ballad of the Dunes." This update is a special collaboration event with Gansu Province’s Culture & Tourism, bringing the allure of detective work together with the vibrant heritage of Dunhuang, a city situated on the edge of the Gobi Desert. This crossover promises an experience steeped in history, romance, and mystery, all enveloped in the timeless sands of the ancient Silk Road.

What Does Ballad of the Dunes Bring to Tears of Themis?

The "Ballad of the Dunes" event enriches *Tears of Themis* with a unique blend of cultural immersion and detective storytelling. Players will be tasked with solving mysteries amidst the ancient Silk Road atmosphere, drawing inspiration from the rich tapestry of Dunhuang's history.

The event introduces four new MR (Memory Resonance) cards, each featuring one of the game's main characters—Luke, Artem, Vyn, and Marius. These cards are designed to reflect various aspects of Dunhuang's culture, showcasing elements like flying apsaras, detailed murals, and the iconic pipa played in a style reminiscent of ancient performers from the Mogao Caves. The Silk Road, a historical corridor of art, culture, and trade since the Western Han Dynasty (202 BC–8 AD), is digitally reimagined in *Tears of Themis* through these cards.

Each card tells a distinctive story: Luke's "In the Footsteps of Silk," Artem's "Serenade of the Soul," Vyn's "Reverberation Through Time," and Marius's "Void of Creation." Accompanying these cards are Private Messages that delve into a journey spanning a millennium.

What Are the Rewards?

During the event period, from February 13th to February 20th, 2025, players can earn a variety of rewards by completing event tasks. These include Camel Bells, S-Chips, and other in-game goodies. The central challenge involves flipping cells on a game board to reveal hidden rewards.

The highlight of the event is the opportunity to obtain the "Ballad of the Dunes" MR card pack. Players can select one of the four MR cards as their reward for each round completed. Additionally, flipping 100 cells will unlock the exclusive "Celebration – Dunes Namecard."
