News
The Partner/Indie World Showcase Delivered
Nintendo's choice to combine two smaller showcases proved effective, delivering a flurry of announcements. Highlights include shadow-dropped titles (detailed below), Capcom Fighting Collection 2, the Suikoden I & II remakes, Yakuza Kiwami, Tetris Forever, MySims, Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition, new Atelier and Rune Factory entries, and much more. Select New Releases
Castlevania Dominus Collection ($24.99)
A fantastic surprise release, this third Castlevania collection includes the three Nintendo DS titles: Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, and Order of Ecclesia. It also features Haunted Castle (the arcade game) and a much-improved M2 remake. This is a high-quality collection offering superb emulation and desirable features, making it an incredible value.
Pizza Tower ($19.99)
This Wario Land-inspired platformer is another shadow drop. Players navigate five massive floors of the Pizza Tower to destroy it and save their restaurant. Fans of Wario's handheld adventures will love this, but even those without strong Wario feelings should find its frenetic platforming enjoyable. A review is planned.
Goat Simulator 3 ($29.99)
Another Wednesday shadow drop! Goat Simulator 3 delivers more of the chaotic goat-based mayhem you've come to expect. While performance on Switch remains to be seen (given struggles on more powerful consoles), its inherent silliness might even complement any potential performance issues. It’s silly goats doing silly things in an open world – your mileage may vary!
Peglin ($19.99)
It seems EA missed a significant opportunity by not bringing PopCap games to Switch. For Peggle fans, Peglin is a fantastic alternative. A blend of Peggle and turn-based roguelite RPG elements, this mobile hit now shines on Switch. A review is coming soon.
Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story ($20.00)
Kairosoft adds a popular license to their shop simulation formula. Doraemon Dorayaki Shop Story features characters from the Doraemon manga and anime, with some nice touches to honor the source material. Even characters from the manga artist's other works make appearances.
Pico Park 2 ($8.99)
More Pico Park for existing fans. Up to eight players can enjoy local or online multiplayer in cooperative puzzle stages. While not dramatically different from the first game, it's a solid addition for those who enjoyed the original.
Kamitsubaki City Ensemble ($3.99)
An affordable rhythm game featuring music from Kamitsubaki Studio. Simple, but enjoyable for its price point.
SokoPenguin ($4.99)
A straightforward Sokoban-style puzzle game with a penguin theme. One hundred levels await.
Q2 Humanity ($6.80)
Over three hundred quirky physics-based puzzles. Players use character abilities and drawing to solve problems, with up to four-player local or online multiplayer.
