Here's an official description:
Civilization VII - VR brings the world of Civilization to life as never before. The game unfolds on a Command Table, allowing players to zoom in for intricate details or survey the entire map from a commanding height. Engage directly with iconic world leaders, witnessing their reactions to your alliances and declarations of war.
Play in immersive VR or mixed reality, seamlessly switching between modes. VR places you in an elegant museum overlooking a personalized leader vista; mixed reality adapts the Command Table to your physical space. Detailed dioramas showcasing gameplay achievements are viewable in The Archives, accessible in both VR and mixed reality. Engage in online multiplayer matches with up to three other players on Meta Quest 3 and 3S.
The PC and console versions of Civilization VII, currently available through early access, have received mixed player feedback on Steam, citing UI issues, limited map variety, and missing features.
Firaxis has addressed this feedback, promising UI improvements, the addition of cooperative teams to multiplayer, expanded map types, and more.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, in an interview with IGN, acknowledged the negative reviews but expressed confidence that the core Civilization fanbase will embrace the game with continued play, describing its early performance as "very encouraging."
