Stellar Blade's 1.009 Update: New Content and Game-Breaking Bugs

The highly anticipated Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC have arrived in Stellar Blade's latest update (1.009), but unfortunately, they've also brought some significant issues. Players are reporting game-breaking bugs, including softlocks in a main quest and crashes when using the Photo Mode's selfie camera. Some cosmetic items from the update are also failing to render correctly.

Developer Shift Up is actively working on a hotfix to address these problems. They advise players to avoid forcing quest progression until the hotfix is released, as attempting to circumvent the bugs could lead to permanent softlocks.

NieR: Automata Collaboration and Photo Mode Enhancements

The 1.009 update includes a substantial amount of new content. The NieR: Automata collaboration is a highlight, a result of collaboration between Director Kim Hyung Tae and Director Yoko Taro. Eleven exclusive items can be acquired by interacting with the NieR character Emil, who has set up shop within the game world.

The long-requested Photo Mode is finally here, allowing players to capture stunning images of Eve and her companions. New photo challenges have also been added to encourage players to utilize this feature. To enhance the Photo Mode experience, Eve has received four new outfits, and a new accessory (unlocked after completing a specific ending) alters the appearance of Tachy Mode. Additional customization options include a "No Ponytail" setting.

Further improvements include lip-sync support for six additional languages, enhanced projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet functionalities for the instant death skill, and numerous smaller bug fixes for a smoother overall gameplay experience.
