Star Wars Outlaws’ New Creative Director Details Three Areas of Focus

In the first major post-launch update for Star Wars Outlaws, Ubisoft's new Creative Director, Drew Rechner, outlined plans to refine the game's mechanics and elevate the overall player experience. This "biggest update yet" will coincide with the game's launch on Steam and the release of its first DLC, addressing key areas such as combat, stealth, and controls in response to fan feedback.

Rechner began the developer update by expressing gratitude to the Outlaws community for their enthusiasm and support, which has been evident through fan art, comments, and videos shared by players. He acknowledged the constructive feedback received, stating, "Thank you for sharing with us and helping us make the game even better."

Massive Entertainment, the game's developer, has already implemented three title updates, addressing community concerns by fixing bugs, enhancing mission dynamics, and refining the speeder camera and collision mechanics. These changes aim to provide a smoother gameplay experience across the game's diverse environments, from desert planets to lush jungles.

Despite receiving high praise from Game8, which awarded Star Wars Outlaws a score of 90 and described it as "an exceptional game that does justice to the Star Wars franchise," Rechner believes there is still room for improvement. In the Developer Update, he pinpointed three key areas that could "improve the game even further," demonstrating a commitment to ongoing enhancement based on player input.
