The Sims 1 and 2 might come back to PC very soon
The Sims franchise is marking its 25th anniversary with a bang, and while Electronic Arts has unveiled its celebratory plans, exciting surprises may still be in store.
A recent Sims teaser subtly referenced the first two games in the series, sparking widespread fan speculation about a potential return. While no official announcement has been made, Kotaku sources hint at a possible unveiling later this week: digital PC re-releases of The Sims 1 and 2, complete with their original expansion packs.
The possibility of console releases remains uncertain, and if so, the timing is unknown. However, given the potent nostalgia factor, it seems highly improbable that EA would forgo the lucrative opportunity.
The Sims 1 and 2 are quite dated, and currently, legitimate ways to play them are extremely limited. Their return would undoubtedly thrill countless devoted fans.
