Ship Ahoy: Unlock the Secrets to Embark on Divinity's Voyage
This guide details how to get the Elven ship, Lady Vengeance, sailing in Divinity: Original Sin 2 after escaping Fort Joy. The process involves a series of puzzles and interactions.
Quick Links
After removing your Source collar, your goal is to get the Lady Vengeance underway. This isn't done through conventional means; you must discover a unique method. Explore the ship, interact with NPCs, and gather clues. The key is accessing Magister Dallis' cabin and obtaining the Ancient Empire Songbook.
Investigate Dead Bodies
Begin by searching the bodies of the magisters and gheists on deck. A Sodden Diary on one corpse contains a password for a stateroom door. You can also obtain the password via a skill check with the northern stateroom door. You'll also need a Strange Gem, found later, to interact with the door. A magic mirror nearby allows for unlimited respeccing if needed for skill checks.
Find the Portside Stateroom
Using the password from the diary (or skill check), and the Strange Gem (obtained from Bishop Alexander's regalia after interacting with him), unlock the portside stateroom door. The "Fortitude" password will open it, granting access to Magister Dallis' cabin. This cabin also contains a hidden hatch with two gheists and a Teleportation Prism.
Find the Songbook
Inside Dallis' cabin, speak with Tarquin and Dallis, exhausting all dialogue options. Locate the Ancient Empire Songbook on a pedestal. Reading it reveals the song needed to move the ship. It's advisable to speak to all NPCs before proceeding, as interaction will be limited once the ship sails.
Set Sail
Return to the deck and inform Malady of your discovery. She'll ask you to sing the song. Find the dragon figurine to the west of the deck and choose the option to sing. This will initiate the ship's departure. Be prepared for an ambush by powerful magisters immediately after setting sail. Ensure your party is adequately prepared for battle.
