SEGA Stars Join Sonic Rumble for Epic Crossover Debut!
Sonic Rumble, despite not having launched globally yet, has already kicked off an exciting crossover event named Crossover Event #0: SEGA Stars, featuring some of the most beloved SEGA characters. This event is live from now until May 7th, just before the game's worldwide launch on May 8th.
Currently, Sonic Rumble is in soft launch and is accessible in over 40 countries. It had its first pre-launch in Summer 2024, debuting in regions such as the Philippines, Scandinavian countries, and Colombia. The second pre-launch extended to Canada, Turkey, Malaysia, South Africa, and other regions.
What’s in Store?
If you're located in one of the regions where Sonic Rumble soft-launched last year, you can participate in the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars crossover. Fans of Altered Beast will be thrilled to see the Werewolf transformation available for free. For those who love the nostalgic beast modes, the Werebear and Weredragon are also up for grabs, though with different payment methods. The Weredragon is exclusive to the Premium Pass, while the Werebear can be purchased with regular rings.
Fantasy Zone enthusiasts will enjoy the inclusion of Opa-Opa and Upa-Upa. Opa-Opa is part of the Premium Pass, and Upa-Upa can be acquired through fragments, each costing 700 standard rings.
Super Monkey Ball fans aren't left out either, as AiAi and MeeMee join the event. To get AiAi, you'll need to spend 729 Red Star Rings. You can get a glimpse of the crossover event in the video below.
Earn Exclusive Goodies During the Sonic Rumble SEGA Stars Crossover
During the event, you can earn additional rewards by collecting SEGA logos during matches. While it might seem unusual for the event to be active before the global release, SEGA has assured that most of these pre-release rewards will return later.
The first crossover event of Sonic Rumble is a delightful dive into SEGA’s rich history, bringing together monkeys, sentient arcade ships, and mythical were-creatures alongside Sonic and friends. This makes Sonic Rumble a highly anticipated game.
You can download Sonic Rumble from the Google Play Store now or wait for its official release on May 8th in your region.
