Pokémon TCG Pocket: Trading & Space-Time Smackdown Launch

Pokémon TCG Pocket’s highly anticipated trading feature has finally arrived! Launching alongside the exciting new Space-Time Smackdown expansion, this update brings a fresh wave of content for players.

Trading works much like real-life card trading, allowing you to exchange cards with friends. While there are some limitations—only certain rarities (1-4 and 1-star) are tradeable, and resources like trade hourglasses and tokens are required—it's a significant addition to the game.

The Space-Time Smackdown expansion introduces legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia, alongside Sinnoh region starters Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup, and much more!

The trading feature’s reception, however, has been somewhat mixed. While a welcome addition, the numerous restrictions and resource requirements have been criticized by some players. Ideally, a more accessible trading system without these caveats would have been preferable. However, developers are reportedly monitoring player feedback, suggesting potential future improvements.
