Pokémon Champions, Game Freak's Leaked Multiplayer Game, Officially Revealed
After months of speculation and leaks, Pokémon Champions, a new multiplayer battle-focused Pokémon game, has finally been revealed. Developed through a collaboration between Game Freak and The Pokémon Works (a joint venture between The Pokémon Company and Pokémon Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl developer ILCA), this game promises a fresh take on Pokémon battles.
Pokémon Champions utilizes the series' core battle system, allowing players to engage in online battles. The trailer showcased both Mega Evolution and Terastallization, hinting at a broad selection of Pokémon and battle styles across various generations.
Furthermore, seamless integration with Pokémon Home is confirmed. This allows players to transfer Pokémon from previous games, finally providing a purpose for those hundreds of Pokémon gathering digital dust in storage boxes.Currently in development for Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, Pokémon Champions lacks a release date. However, it's confirmed that Latin American Spanish will be included among the launch languages.
