FromSoftware Sends Confirmation Emails for Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test

Fans Receive Elden Ring Nightreign Playtest Confirmation Emails

On January 30, 2025, FromSoftware officially announced via their Twitter (X) account that confirmation emails for applicants of the Elden Ring Nightreign network test had been dispatched. Selected fans have taken to social media to share their excitement and express gratitude after receiving these notifications.

Those who received a confirmation email will be sent a follow-up message on February 11, 2025, containing a unique code to download the Network Test client on either PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S.

FromSoftware opened registration for the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test from January 10 through January 20, 2025. However, no further updates have been released regarding additional test dates for those who did not receive an invitation.

Details About the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test

According to FromSoftware, the purpose of the network test is to conduct "preliminary verification tests in which selected testers play a portion of the game prior to the full launch." The company emphasized that this phase includes technical evaluations of online systems through large-scale network load testing. This helps ensure server stability when the full game launches.

The Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test will run from February 14 to February 16, 2025, offering five separate 3-hour sessions:

  • Session 1 – February 14 from 3 AM to 6 AM PT
  • Session 2 – February 14 from 7 PM to 10 PM PT
  • Session 3 – February 15 from 11 AM to 2 PM PT
  • Session 4 – February 16 from 3 AM to 6 AM PT
  • Session 5 – February 16 from 7 PM to 10 PM PT

This gives participants multiple opportunities to join in and help stress-test the multiplayer infrastructure.

Beware: Scammers and Scalpers Are Active

Following the announcement of confirmation emails, reports have surfaced of malicious activity targeting eager players. On platforms like Steam, users are reportedly receiving suspicious invites claiming to be related to the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test. Clicking these links redirects users to phishing pages that may compromise their accounts and automatically send the same invite to their contacts.

It’s important to note that FromSoftware only communicates official test details through its website and verified social media channels. Any third-party link should be treated with caution.

Additionally, scalpers have already listed “confirmed test codes” for sale on various buy-and-sell marketplaces. These listings appeared shortly after FromSoftware’s confirmation email announcement—well before the actual codes are set to be distributed on February 11. Prices range from $150 to $200, with some even up for auction.

These practices are fraudulent and unauthorized. Players are strongly advised to avoid engaging with such offers to prevent financial loss or account compromise.
