Pokemon TCG Pocket Sleep: Status Update
In Pokémon TCG Pocket, Sleep is the most frustrating status condition. While there's a cure, bad luck can be game-changing. Here's everything you need to know about Sleep and how to wake your Pokémon.
What Does Sleep Mean in Pokémon TCG Pocket?
When a Pokémon is asleep, it's completely incapacitated. No attacks, no abilities, no retreat. Your sleeping Pokémon becomes a vulnerable target on your active spot until cured.
How to Cure Sleep
There are two main ways to cure Sleep: a successful coin flip each turn, or evolution. The coin flip offers a chance of recovery every turn for both you and your opponent. While quick recovery is possible, consecutive unlucky flips can leave your Pokémon useless for several turns. This contrasts with Paralysis and Poison, which are less debilitating. While you can prepare alternative attackers or hope for an evolution, your opponent might gain an advantage. A less common method involves the Koga Trainer card, which returns a sleeping Weezing or Muk to your hand.
