How to Get Dhelmise in Pokemon GO

The only way for Pokemon GO players to catch Dhelmise during the Beloved Buddies event is by participating in 3-Star Raids where the Sea Creeper Pokemon appears as the boss. You'll need to defeat Dhelmise in these raids to have the chance to catch it.

Dhelmise’s Weaknesses & Resistances

Dhelmise, a Grass- and Ghost-type Pokemon in Pokemon GO, is vulnerable to Fire-, Dark-, Ice-, Ghost-, and Flying-type attacks, which will deal 160% super-effective damage. On the other hand, it's resistant to Grass-, Water-, Electric-, and Ground-type attacks by 63%, and to Fighting and Normal types by 39%.

Can Dhelmise Be Shiny?

Unfortunately, Dhelmise cannot be encountered in its Shiny form in Pokemon GO during the Beloved Buddies event. This is typical for newly introduced Pokemon, as their Shiny variants are usually added in subsequent events, such as a dedicated Community Day.

Beloved Buddies Dates & Times

To fully enjoy the Beloved Buddies event, make sure to start playing Pokemon GO on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM until it ends on Saturday, February 15 at 8:00 PM local time. This schedule was officially announced on the Pokemon GO website.

Increased Wild Spawns During Beloved Buddies

During the Beloved Buddies event, Pokemon GO players will notice an increased frequency of friendship-themed Pokemon appearing in the wild. These include:

• Cutiefly
• Diglett
• Dunsparce
• Fomantis
• Illumise
• Mantine
• Minun
• Nidoran♀
• Nidoran♂
• Plusle
• Remoraid
• Shellder
• Slowpoke
• Volbeat

All of these Pokemon have a chance to be Shiny, with increased odds for Shiny Dunsparce and Diglett. For the others, the base Shiny rate of 1 in 512 applies. To maximize your chances, use Lure Modules and Incenses to boost spawn rates.

Beloved Buddies Bonuses In Pokemon GO

The Beloved Buddies event offers several bonuses to enhance your Pokemon GO experience, including:

• Double XP for catching any Pokemon
• Lure Modules lasting for 60 minutes
• Lure Modules attracting event-themed Pokemon like Diglett, Slowpoke, Shellder, Dunsparce, Cutiefly, and Fomantis
• +500 Stardust for catching Diglett, Slowpoke, Shellder, Dunsparce, Cutiefly, and Fomantis

Raid Bosses During Beloved Buddies

In addition to Dhelmise, the Beloved Buddies event introduces various Raid bosses across different levels. Here's a detailed look at the Raid bosses and their Shiny availability:

The odds of encountering a Shiny raid boss are significantly higher than in the wild, with Mega Tyranitar having a 1 in 128 chance and Legendary Pokemon a 1 in 20 chance. However, Enamorus (Incarnate Forme) won't be available in its Shiny form during Beloved Buddies.

Field Research Tasks

The Beloved Buddies event will feature limited-time Field Research tasks, such as catching event-themed Pokemon, in exchange for rewards like Stardust and encounters with Tandemaus. We'll update this guide with specific tasks once they're announced.

Collection Challenges

Like other Pokemon GO events, Beloved Buddies includes Collection Challenges that require you to catch many, if not all, of the special Pokemon appearing during the event. We'll provide details on the Pokemon included and the rewards once they're confirmed.
