The set aims to kick off the year with excitement for Pokemon TCG enthusiasts. However, the expansion has faced global shortages, impacting fans in regions including the United States.
In response to ongoing fan feedback and complaints on social media, The Pokemon Company released a statement to IGN, admitting the scarcity of certain products and the difficulty in ordering them. "We understand this inconvenience can be disappointing for fans, and we are actively working to print more of the impacted Pokemon TCG products as quickly as possible and at maximum capacity to address this," a company spokesperson stated.
Pokemon TCG Prismatic Evolutions Reprints Are Coming Soon
Reprints of the Prismatic Evolutions set are currently in production and are expected to reach licensed distributors soon, though no specific timeline was provided. While some attribute the shortages to scalpers, The Pokemon Company described the issue as a result of "high demand," without further elaboration.
More Pokemon TCG Prismatic Evolutions Products on the Horizon
In addition to the reprints, The Pokemon Company announced that new Prismatic Evolutions products will soon be available. These were initially mentioned during the set's announcement in November 2024.
The upcoming products include a Mini Tin and Surprise Box, set to launch on February 7, followed by a Booster Bundle and Accessory Pouch Special Collection on March 7 and April 25, respectively. A Super-Premium Collection is scheduled for May 16, and a Premium Figure Collection will be released on September 26. Fans eager to try out the new cards can do so by playing the Battle Pass in the Pokemon TCG Live mobile game, which will start awarding Prismatic Evolutions cards from January 16.
