"Nintendo Today App: A New Hub for Fans' News and Content"
Nintendo has launched a new app called Nintendo Today, directly from the creators of Super Mario Bros., to deliver the latest Nintendo news to fans in a more immediate way than ever before. Announced by video game legend Shigeru Miyamoto during the March 2025 Nintendo Direct, this all-in-one mobile application is now available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play, offering a suite of exciting features for dedicated Nintendo enthusiasts.
Nintendo Today serves as a comprehensive hub, functioning as both a daily calendar and a continuous news feed, ensuring players stay informed about the latest developments as they happen. For instance, following the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, users can log into the app to access all the latest updates, with new content being added daily. This approach provides a more direct and engaging method for fans to stay updated, even outside of major announcements.
The app offers a dynamic experience, with beloved characters from Mario, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, and more greeting users each day. Beyond news, the feed will be enriched with Nintendo-themed content, including highlights like the Pikmin 4 comic "Too Stuck to Pluck" and "Pearls of Wisdom" from Animal Crossing's Pascal. While Nintendo Today might not be the major reveal like Zelda or Super Smash Bros. that many were hoping for, it provides an additional avenue for fans to connect with the world of Nintendo.
