MultiVersus presented two last characters while fans threaten game developers

The saga of MultiVersus deserves a chapter in gaming history, a cautionary tale alongside other industry giants that stumbled. Yet, the game isn't quite finished, with developers revealing its final two characters: Lola Bunny and Aquaman.

This announcement comes against a backdrop of fan frustration, some escalating to threats against the development team. MultiVersus game director Tony Huynh responded with a lengthy message, pleading with players to cease such behavior.

Huynh apologized to fans who won't see their desired characters added, expressing hope they'll enjoy Season 5's final content. He explained that character selection involves numerous factors, and his influence is less than some fans perceived.

Following the shutdown announcement, players voiced concerns about unspent in-game tokens—a promised benefit for the $100 edition—potentially fueling the threats directed at the developers.
