Capcom has officially announced that the first major post-launch update for Monster Hunter Wilds, titled Update 1, will be released on Thursday, April 3 Pacific Time, and April 4 UK time. In a recent showcase video, Capcom not only confirmed the release date but also detailed what players can anticipate from this exciting update.

The highlight of Title Update 1 is the introduction of the Grand Hub, a new social space where players can engage in novel interactions. This hub will feature a new mini-game, Barrel Bowling, and nightly performances by the Diva, enhancing the social aspect of the game.

Players can also look forward to the arrival of Mizutsune, a leviathan monster known for its dangerous bubbles, as part of Title Update 1. Alongside Mizutsune, a Zoh Shia quest will be introduced, and later on, an event quest featuring the formidable Arch-tempered Rey Dau will be launched.

Competitive players will be thrilled with the addition of Arena Quests, where they can vie for the fastest completion times. This update brings free content to all players, including classic gestures from the series, and introduces the Cosmetic DLC Pack 1.

Looking ahead, Capcom has planned a collaboration with an unannounced Capcom game for the end of May, adding more excitement to Monster Hunter Wilds. A second title update is slated for the summer, and Capcom teased the introduction of a new monster with an early glimpse.

While PC gamers were hoping for news on performance improvements due to concerns voiced during the game's launch window, the showcase did not address these issues. However, the game continues to attract a large audience, and with Title Update 1, Capcom sets the stage for its future updates.
