Monster Hunter Wilds (MH Wilds) has officially become Capcom’s fastest-selling game, surpassing 8 million units sold within just three days of its release. Capcom proudly announced this milestone on their official website, marking a historic moment for the company.

According to SteamDB, MH Wilds has not only achieved impressive sales but also garnered significant player engagement, reaching over 1.3 million concurrent players on Steam, despite receiving mixed reviews. Capcom credits this success to their relentless promotional efforts, participation in global video game events, and an open beta test that allowed players to experience the game firsthand.

Latest Update Addressed Game-Breaking Bug

In response to player feedback, Capcom has released a crucial update for MH Wilds. On March 4, 2025, Monster Hunter's official support account, Monster Hunter Status, announced via Twitter (X) that hot fix patch Ver.1.000.04.00 is now available across all platforms.

This update tackles several critical issues, including the "Grill a Meal" and "Ingredient Center" features not unlocking as intended, the Monster Field Guide becoming inaccessible, and a severe game-breaking bug that halted story progression in Chapter 5-2, "A World Turned Upside Down." Players are required to install this update to continue enjoying online gameplay.

However, some bugs remain unaddressed, such as network errors triggered by firing an SOS flare post-quest start, and Palico’s blunt weapon attacks failing to inflict stun and exhaust damages. These multiplayer-related issues are expected to be resolved in an upcoming patch.
