Monster Hunter Now Season 5: The Blossoming Blade Is Landing Soon!
Monster Hunter Now's Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, launching March 6th, 2025, promises a thrilling update packed with new content. Before the season officially begins, however, players can encounter the Chatacabra starting February 28th—a sneak peek before its debut in Monster Hunter Wilds. Season 5 will also introduce Glavenus and Arzuros to the hunt.
This season focuses on enhancing gameplay balance. Weapon adjustments aim to improve the viability and enjoyment of all weapon types. The Sword & Shield receives a buff, simplifying targeting of breakable parts like tails. The Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will now reward precise timing with amplified power, leading to more satisfying combat. The Guard skill also sees significant improvement; higher skill levels will now noticeably reduce damage taken while blocking. Further balance tweaks will be detailed in the full patch notes on March 6th.
Beyond combat, Season 5 addresses inventory management. An Item Box Expansion, available as a Supply Item, will provide an additional 250 inventory slots, tackling the ever-present issue of overflowing bags.
A significant new feature arrives on March 17th, celebrating Monster Hunter Now's 1.5-year anniversary. This feature allows players to exchange special materials earned through hunts and events for valuable rewards such as Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards.
