Microsoft Unveils Xbox Game Pass April 2025 Wave 1 Titles

Microsoft has announced an exciting array of Xbox Game Pass titles set to enhance the service in the first half of April 2025. The lineup features a mix of first-party and third-party games, including the much-anticipated South of Midnight, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition, and several others. This impressive selection was detailed in a recent post on Xbox Wire, promising a robust month for subscribers.

The month kicks off on April 3 with the addition of Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition (available on Cloud, Console, and PC) across all tiers, alongside All You Need Is Help (Console), Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series X|S), and Wargroove 2 (Console), all joining Game Pass Standard. This initial wave is packed with diverse titles that are sure to captivate Xbox enthusiasts throughout the month. However, the excitement doesn't stop there; just five days later on April 8, South of Midnight (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (Console and PC) will become available to all Game Pass subscribers.

South of Midnight, developed by Compulsion Games, is set in the Deep South and promises a rich folklore adventure. Microsoft describes it as an opportunity to "Explore the mythos and confront mysterious creatures of the Deep South in this modern folktale while learning to weave an ancient power to surmount obstacles and face the pain haunting your hometown." This game is expected to be one of the biggest releases of the year on Xbox and its addition to Game Pass is poised to attract a significant number of players.

Following closely, Commandos: Origins (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) will join Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on April 9, with Blue Prince (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) following on April 10 for the same tiers. Rounding out the first wave of releases, Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PC) will be added on April 15 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers.

In addition to the new game releases, Xbox Game Pass perks are also being refreshed for the first half of April 2025. Notable perks include the Beyond the Void Bundle for The First Descendant, the Sweet Starter Pack for Candy Crush Solitaire on mobile devices, and an anniversary Seventh Serving Emote for Sea of Thieves fans.
