Expect Extra Content!
GameSpot's latest trailer confirms an August 28th, 2025 release for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The trailer, also appearing on the PlayStation Store, showcases the game's impressive visual upgrades.
While Konami hasn't yet officially shared the trailer on their social media, the news confirms the long-awaited remake is arriving this August, nearly two years after its initial announcement.
Initially slated for 2024 following its May 2023 PlayStation Showcase reveal, subsequent trailers at the Xbox Games Showcase and Tokyo Game Show focused on gameplay.
According to the official Metal Gear X (Twitter) account, this modern remake stays true to the original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, preserving gameplay and original voice acting—hence the "Delta" designation. The account explained the choice of "Delta" (Δ) in May 2023, stating it represents "change" or "difference" without altering the core structure.
A Surprising Collaboration: Snake vs. Monkey?
The trailer holds a further surprise: a cameo from the Ape Escape franchise! A cheeky ape appears at the trailer's end, teasing a collaboration whose details remain shrouded in mystery. The trailer concludes with a cryptic "And more...", hinting at further unannounced collaborations.
