Marvel Snap Goes Offline in the US along with Other Apps
Marvel Snap has been pulled from US app stores, joining other ByteDance-owned apps like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and CapCut in a preemptive move by the company. This action comes amidst growing scrutiny of ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, over national security and data privacy concerns from US lawmakers.
The ban is directly linked to the ongoing pressure on TikTok. To potentially avoid a wider crackdown, ByteDance appears to have removed these apps from US availability.
While the future remains uncertain, there’s hope that TikTok, and consequently other ByteDance apps, might return to US app stores, at least temporarily. A complete and permanent ban would significantly impact the revenue and player base of these Chinese-owned companies, given the substantial US market share.
For now, the status of Marvel Snap in the US remains unclear. Players outside the US can continue to enjoy the game, readily available on the Google Play Store. We await further developments.
