Longleaf Valley, Treesplease\'s debut release, has helped plant over two million real-world trees
Treesplease's Longleaf Valley initiative surpasses two million trees planted! The game's debut spurred a remarkable player-driven effort, resulting in over two million real-world trees planted in partnership with the Eden Reforestation Project. This environmental impact equates to an estimated CO2 offset of 42,000 tonnes.
To celebrate, Treesplease is launching a new in-game Veganuary event for 2025, inspired by the official Veganuary Cookbook. This event offers new content and adorable baby animal rewards for players, regardless of their dietary preferences.
A Year of Recognition
Treesplease's success extends beyond the two million trees. CEO and founder Laura Carter received a Global Gaming Citizen award at the 2024 Game Awards for her commitment to climate action. Longleaf Valley also earned the Best Purpose Driven Game award at the 2024 Playing of the Planet Awards.
The "Play it, Plant It" model clearly resonates with gamers. Treesplease has demonstrated that combining enjoyable gameplay with meaningful contributions to a good cause is a winning formula. Their significant environmental impact showcases the potential of the gaming community to drive positive change.
