The game follows Kyoya, who awakens in a dimly lit room in the year 4000 – nearly two millennia from his last memory. He finds Earth a desolate wasteland, encountering a mysterious girl who holds a heavy burden.

This girl is trapped in a cycle of repeated death and rebirth, perpetually atoning for humanity's sins. Witnessing her unending suffering, Kyoya is moved to introduce her to the concept of happiness.

The narrative unfolds at a deliberate pace, initially slow-burning. However, once the story gains momentum, earlier seemingly insignificant details become crucial plot points, creating impactful twists and turns.
