"New Lilo & Stitch Trailer Reveals Live-Action Characters"
The eagerly awaited official trailer for the live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch has finally been released, offering fans an exciting glimpse into the film. The trailer showcases Maia Kealoha's portrayal of Lilo, a role originally brought to life by Daveigh Chase in the beloved 2002 animated classic. Kealoha steps into the spotlight, giving viewers a taste of how she will embody the iconic character.
In addition to Lilo, the trailer provides a closer look at Courtney B. Vance as the stern yet caring Cobra Bubbles, and Billy Magnussen as the quirky Pleakley. A unique aspect of the remake is the temporary human disguises for Jumba, played by Zach Galifianakis, and Pleakley, although Pleakley's alien form does make a brief appearance.
The trailer also revisits many cherished scenes from the original film, reimagined in live-action. Highlights include Stitch's dramatic entrance resembling a falling star, his clever transformation into a more dog-like appearance at the shelter, and the poignant moment when Lilo explains, "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."
Lilo & Stitch is set to hit theaters on May 23, 2025, promising another enchanting live-action adaptation of a Disney classic. This release follows closely on the heels of the live-action Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, scheduled for March 21, 2025.
