Letterlike Is a New Word Game That’s Like Balatro But with Scrabble!
Wordsmiths, rejoice! A new roguelike word game, Letterlike, is here, blending the best of Balatro and Scrabble. Prepare for a unique fusion of vocabulary and unpredictable roguelike elements – a truly novel combination!
Crafting Words in Letterlike
Letterlike's roguelike nature ensures each playthrough offers a fresh challenge with procedurally generated letter sets and obstacles. The possibilities are endless, leading to countless victories.
Each game begins with a set of letters. Your objective: create meaningful words, accumulate points, and conquer levels. Each level comprises three rounds.
To progress, you must achieve a sufficient point total by forming high-scoring words, similar to Scrabble. However, you only have five attempts (lives) per round, demanding strategic wordplay.
Facing a less-than-ideal letter combination? Don't despair! You can discard letters, but this option is limited, requiring careful consideration.
A handy rearrange mode allows you to drag, drop, and shuffle letters to optimize your word creation.
The final round of each level introduces a twist: certain letters become useless, yielding zero points.
Earned points and rewards unlock various in-game items to enhance subsequent runs. Some buffs are automatically applied, while others require reaching specific level thresholds. Collected gems also facilitate powerful upgrades, easing future challenges.
Ready to Play?
Letterlike boasts a simple, minimalist design with engaging gameplay. The game allows replaying specific runs with friends using shared seeds – share those cursed letter combinations and let your friends experience the frustration!
Enjoy an ad-free experience with a single in-app purchase. Offline play is supported, and a free demo version lets you sample the gameplay before committing. Find Letterlike on the Google Play Store and give the demo a try.
