LEGO Unveils Jango Fett's Starship, New Star Wars Sets Before May the Fourth
LEGO has announced the launch of nine exciting new Star Wars sets, set to hit the shelves on May 1, 2025. This release is timed perfectly with Disney's annual celebration of May the 4th, also known as Star Wars Day, a tradition that LEGO honors by unveiling a new Ultimate Collector Series Starship each year. In 2023, fans were treated to Luke's X-Wing Starfighter, followed by the TIE Interceptor in 2024.
This year's highlight is Jango Fett's Firespray Starship, fondly remembered by fans as Slave I. However, the name was officially changed to Jango Fett's Firespray Starship back in 2021 at Disney's request, a change that LEGO has confirmed and which will continue in future releases. You can find this iconic ship on the LEGO Store.

The last major version of this starship was released by LEGO in 2019, celebrating its 20th anniversary with a 1007-piece set inspired by its appearance in Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. The new iteration, launching in 2025, boasts an impressive 2970 pieces, reflecting its appearance in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones. This set is nearly three times larger than its predecessor, with dimensions of 7.5 inches high, 17.5 inches long, and 15.5 inches wide.
