Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: A Closer Look at Village Life and Recent Controversy
Warhorse Studios continues to unveil new facets of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, focusing this time on the immersive village activities awaiting players. Protagonist Henry will engage in a variety of activities, including drinking, shepherding, archery (both crossbow and bow), prayer, hunting, and assisting villagers with tasks such as finding antidotes.
The game's February 4, 2025 release date remains unchanged. However, recent events have cast a shadow over the development.
Following the discovery of subpoenas within the game's code, activists launched a campaign to cancel Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Figures like Grummz and other vocal critics have amplified these concerns, bringing the game under intense scrutiny.
Speculation surrounding the game's content and alleged inclusion of "progressive" elements intensified after news of a Saudi Arabian ban spread online. This sparked a backlash on social media, with calls to cancel the game and discourage further investment in Warhorse Studios.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded by urging players to trust the developers and to disregard unsubstantiated online claims.
