The King of Fighters AFK launches early access in Canada and Thailand for Android and iOS

The King of Fighters AFK is now available for early access in Thailand and Canada! Fans in these regions can download it immediately from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Early access players are guaranteed to recruit Mature from the Orochi Clan.

While the closure of King of Fighters Allstar may disappoint some, the arrival of King of Fighters AFK offers a new mobile experience. Pre-registration ended last week, and NetMarble has confirmed that progress made during early access will transfer to the full release.

This retro RPG-inspired title features iconic characters from the King of Fighters series in 5v5 battles. Players build teams and strategize formations for engaging combat.

A Different Approach

King of Fighters AFK faces a challenge in winning back fans. Unlike the crossover-heavy King of Fighters Allstar (which included collaborations with WWE), AFK adopts a distinct genre.

The Neo-Geo Pocket-inspired sprites and the guaranteed Mature recruitment (for early access players) might appeal to some. However, given past disappointments, the game needs to prove itself to skeptical fans. Hopefully, it delivers a satisfying and relaxed fighting game experience.
