J.C. Lee, the daughter of the iconic Marvel creator Stan Lee, has broken her silence in an exclusive interview with Business Insider, vehemently denying previous allegations of elder abuse against both her father and her late mother, Joan. These accusations first surfaced in 2017 following Joan's passing, with a particularly detailed account featured in a 2018 The Hollywood Reporter (THR) article. The THR piece suggested that J.C. Lee exerted undue pressure on her parents for financial gain and control over their assets, painting a troubling picture of their relationship. It included claims of verbal altercations and a reported physical incident, supported by photographic evidence of a bruise on Joan Lee's arm, which J.C. Lee has now categorically denied.

In her recent interview, J.C. Lee firmly stated that all the accusations were "a lie." She explained her initial silence following the THR report, saying it was on the advice of those around her. "You think I haven't regretted it to this day?" she remarked, emphasizing her disbelief and frustration over the allegations. "They are all lies. That photo is insane. I never did it," she insisted. While acknowledging frequent heated arguments with her parents concerning money, J.C. Lee stressed that these disputes never escalated to physical violence. "I never ever touched my parents," she affirmed.

Stan Lee passed away in 2018 at the age of 95 due to a heart attack. The comprehensive Business Insider interview delves into J.C. Lee's experiences growing up under the shadow of her father's fame, her financial struggles, feelings of manipulation and loneliness, her creative endeavors, and the challenges of carrying on her father's legacy.
