Iconic Bethesda Voice Actor of Skyrim, Fallout 3, and More Found 'Barely Alive' as Family Seek Support
Renowned Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, known for his roles in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and numerous other titles, was discovered critically ill in his hotel room last week, prompting a heartfelt plea for support from his family.
As reported by PC Gamer, Johnson's wife Kim and family launched a GoFundMe campaign to solicit donations for mounting medical expenses and living costs during his incapacitation. The campaign states that Johnson is currently fighting for his life in an intensive care unit.
The situation unfolded when Johnson, having volunteered to host a benefit for the National Alzheimer’s Foundation in Atlanta on January 22nd, failed to appear after arriving and checking into his hotel. His wife, unable to reach him, alerted hotel security, who found him unconscious and barely alive. Emergency responders struggled to detect a pulse.
His prolific video game work is largely associated with Bethesda titles, most recently portraying Ron Hope in Starfield. His other notable roles include Prince of Madness Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion; three Daedric Princes (Boethiah, Malacath, and Molag Bal) in The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind; Fawkes and Maister Burke in Fallout 3; Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II in Skyrim; and Moe Cronin in Fallout 4, among many others.
