Hyper Light Breaker features seven essential resources crucial for acquiring gear, unlocking permanent upgrades, boosting survivability, and expanding your character roster. While their acquisition and use might not be immediately apparent, this guide clarifies their functions. Resources are conveniently stored under the "Items" tab in your inventory menu for easy access.

How to Get & Use Bright Blood in Hyper Light Breaker

Bright Blood, the most common resource, is earned by defeating enemies, destroying objects, and opening crates in the Overgrowth. Selling gear to Hub vendors also yields Bright Blood.

Its uses include:

• Looting Blades and Rails from corpses in the Overgrowth.
• Opening Stashes and crates in the Overgrowth.
• Purchasing gear from vendors in the Overgrowth and Hub.
• Upgrading gear at Hub vendors.

How to Get & Use Gold Ration in Hyper Light Breaker

Gold Rations are earned by completing Cycles. Early game Cycles typically involve dying four times and using all your Rezes. After depleting your Rezes, locate the NPC at the Hub's Telepad and provide the requested materials to reset the Overgrowth and progress towards Gold Rations.

Gold Rations are key to meta-progression. Use them at Pherus Bit in the Hub to unlock permanent upgrades. They also unlock new vendor services in the Hub.

How to Get & Use Abyss Stone in Hyper Light Breaker

Abyss Stones are dropped by defeating Crowns, challenging bosses found behind gates in the Overgrowth. Remember, you need Prisms (locations marked by yellow diamonds on the map) before challenging Crowns.

Like Gold Rations, Abyss Stones are for meta-progression. Use them during loadout confirmation (before entering the Overgrowth) to upgrade Sycom stats and unlock new characters.

How to Get & Use Key in Hyper Light Breaker

Keys are occasionally found in unmarked small containers throughout the Overgrowth.

Keys bypass barriers in the Overgrowth, granting access to Stashes and other containers. They also open Labs, subterranean areas containing enemies and loot.

How to Get & Use MediGem in Hyper Light Breaker

Extremely valuable, MediGems are obtained by interacting with glowing flowers in the Overgrowth. They're exchanged for Medkits at the Hub's Telepad and Overgrowth Shrines.

You'll need to expand your Medkit capacity to one first using a Gold Ration at Pherus Bit in the Hub.

How to Get & Use Core in Hyper Light Breaker

Cores, another meta-progression resource, are found in Stashes (marked by chest icons) and by combining four Core Shards. Shards are obtained from enemies that drop Prisms (yellow diamond markers) and from unmarked lootable objects.

Use Cores during loadout confirmation to upgrade your Sycom and enhance Breaker stats.

How to Get & Use Material in Hyper Light Breaker

Materials are primarily earned by using Bright Blood to open chests (often marked with gems) in the Overgrowth. Selling gear in the Hub also provides Materials.

Materials are used to purchase gear from vendors in the Hub and Overgrowth, functioning similarly to Bright Blood but with more limited applications.
