Mastering Mounts in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

The vast world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can feel overwhelming initially, especially without a trusty steed. This guide outlines two methods for acquiring a horse: reclaiming your original or acquiring a new one.

Reclaiming Your Original Horse (Pebbles)

You can retrieve your starting horse, Pebbles, from the horse trader in Semine (south). However, this isn't a simple task. You'll need to either:

  • Pay: Offer the trader Groschen.
  • Persuade/Intimidate: Use your persuasion or intimidation skills to convince him to relinquish Pebbles. Improving Henry's appearance (e.g., with finer clothing) can significantly boost your chances of successful persuasion. Note that success may impact your reputation.

Stealing a Horse

Alternatively, you can steal a horse. Wild horses are rare; instead, target farms or stables. A good location is the farmhouse near Vidlak Pond (west). Fishermen own two horses there; simply mount one and ride away.

To properly tame and saddle your stolen horse, visit the horse trainer at the Nomads' Camp (east of Vidlak Pond). You'll need to pay for their services, though riding the horse unsaddled is also an option.
