If you're aiming to unlock the A Prize Held High trophy or achievement, you'll need to focus on a much smaller, yet fascinating target—the Curioshell Crab. Here's a detailed guide to help you snag this elusive achievement.

How to Unlock the A Prize Held High Trophy/Achievement in Monster Hunter Wilds

You might initially think this trophy involves battling dragons or wyverns, but the key to this achievement lies in capturing the Curioshell Crab with your Capture Net. These crabs can be found scattered across various maps, making pinpointing their locations a bit challenging. However, the most reliable spot we've found is the Scarlet Forest.

From the base camp in the Scarlet Forest, head towards Area 6: Flowering Rocks pop-up camp. If you're yet to discover this site, it's nestled between Areas 2 and 6. Once you arrive, keep your eyes peeled for a small puddle of water nearby—this is a prime spawning spot for the Curioshell Crab. If the crab is proving hard to spot, Alma can be your guide. She'll mention if a creature nearby is holding something, signaling the presence of a Curioshell Crab.

With your Capture Net equipped, aim carefully. When the reticle turns orange, fire to capture the crab. Successfully doing so will not only net you the Curioshell Crab but also an Ancient Wyvern Coin as a bonus.

Given the Curioshell Crab's quick movements, you'll need to anticipate its path and aim ahead to ensure a successful capture. Besides the Scarlet Forest, other hotspots include Area 13 of the Windward Plains and Area 8 of the Scarlet Forest. Keep in mind that the crab can appear in other map areas as well, but these are the locations we've found most consistent.
