Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 For Whom the Bell Tolls Walkthrough

The main quest "For Whom the Bell Tolls" follows immediately after "Wedding Crashers." Imprisoned in Trosky, Hans faces execution once the bell tolls 12 times. Fortunately, Henry is assigned labor duties around the castle instead of remaining in prison, giving him the opportunity to save Hans.

Hauling Sacks

Begin by hauling sacks to a shed. This is a mandatory task. Collect a sack from the wagon and transport it to the shed adjacent to the fenced area. Drop the sack inside the shed and repeat the process until the objective is complete.

Help the Blacksmith

Next, assist the blacksmith, who reluctantly asks you to craft a horseshoe. Head through the archway opposite the blacksmith to reach the forge area. Gather the necessary materials and craft the horseshoe. Once approved by the blacksmith, proceed down the path used for hauling sacks to the stables and deliver the horseshoe.

Help Fanka the Cook

After delivering the horseshoe, it's time to aid Hans. Return to the forge and retrieve a lockpick from the red pot on the shelves. Engage with the nearby woman, Fanka, who works as a cook in the noble's kitchen. Offering your help grants you access to the kitchen. Follow Fanka there; while you don't need to lockpick for her, doing so boosts your reputation and allows future food access, which could be beneficial.

Speak with the Chamberlain

Upon entering the kitchen, you'll notice the chamberlain in distress. Converse with him and attempt to persuade him to let you brew a Digestive Potion. Success grants you access to the surgeon's workshop; otherwise, you'll need to sneak in.

Make Fever Tonicum

If you couldn't convince the chamberlain, grab some food from the kitchen to distract the guard and sneak into the workshop. Otherwise, proceed directly to the workshop. Navigate to the stairs opposite the forge and enter the non-noble kitchen. If sneaking, use the food to make the guard leave, then head upstairs.

Ascend the stairs to a hall with two doors; the right door leads to the surgeon's workshop. Craft the Fever Tonicum and, if you convinced the chamberlain, also make a Digestive Potion using the ingredients in the room's chest.

Cure Thomas

If aiding the chamberlain, return with the Digestive Potion to gain access to Thomas' room. If sneaking, take an alternative route. Return to the noble's kitchen and ascend the stairs to avoid additional guards. Stay crouched and use a pebble to distract the guard at the bottom of the staircase leading to Thomas' room. Sneak past him and continue to Thomas' room, where his sister Adele is caring for him. Hand over the Fever Tonicum to Adele, triggering the quest's concluding cutscene.

That's how to successfully complete "For Whom the Bell Tolls" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. Helping Thomas before the 12 bells toll enhances your reputation, though the quest's outcome remains the same regardless.
