This retro-style comic, set shortly after Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars (1984), pits the web-slinger against the King of the Monsters. Peter Parker, still grappling with the symbiote's influence, faces his toughest challenge yet.

Written by Joe Kelly (the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man relaunch writer) and illustrated by Nick Bradshaw (with cover art by Bradshaw, Lee Garbett, and Greg Land), this issue promises a spectacular clash of titans.

"The moment I heard about an '80s-set Godzilla/Spidey crossover, I practically jumped for it," Kelly shared with IGN. "This comic lets us go wild with two iconic characters, capturing the era's energy. Nick Bradshaw perfectly balances the absurdity and gravitas, showcasing Godzilla and Spidey (in his, ahem, black suit) with the respect they deserve. It's a love letter with a colossal roar!"

This isn't the first time Godzilla has faced Western superheroes (DC's Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong comes to mind), but unlike that series' MonsterVerse take, Marvel's comics feature the classic Toho Godzilla.

This announcement follows IDW's Godzilla vs. Los Angeles #1, an anthology benefiting wildfire relief efforts.
