More gameplay and release date of DOOM: The Dark Ages is finally revealed
Bethesda and id Software showcased a new DOOM: The Dark Ages demo at the Xbox showcase, confirming earlier leaks of a May 15th release date for this medieval hell-raiser.
This new entry transports players to the Middle Ages, resulting in a significantly altered gameplay experience compared to DOOM: Eternal. Forget the frantic parkour; The Dark Ages emphasizes a more grounded, brutal approach. Players will embody a powerful, tank-like "killing machine," utilizing a heavy arsenal to obliterate demons.
Central to this demon-slaying arsenal are a shield and mace. A standout feature is the inclusion of a giant mech, providing a powerful advantage against lesser demons. Furthermore, players will even get to ride a dragon during the campaign!
The game boasts a customizable difficulty system, allowing players to fine-tune the challenge by adjusting enemy damage and other parameters to their preference.
