Fuecoco Takes Center Stage in March’s Opening Community Day

Pokémon GO confirms Fuecoco as the star of the first Community Day event on March 8, 2025.

Fuecoco, the Fire Croc Pokémon, will appear frequently across maps during the event on March 8, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm local time, with an elevated Shiny encounter rate.

Evolving Fuecoco into Skeledirge via Crocalor during the event grants the Charged Attack Blast Burn, available only within one week post-event. Skeledirge can also learn the Charged Attack Torch Song without time limits.

A Special Background Timed Research offers trainers a Fuecoco encounter with a Seasonal Special Background. Completing these tasks by March 15, 2025, at 10:00 pm local time further boosts Fuecoco’s Shiny rate.

Trainers can also opt for a $2.00 exclusive Community Day Special Research ticket, unlocking three Fuecoco encounters with Seasonal Special Backgrounds, plus Battle Passes and Rare Candies. This ticket can be gifted to friends with a Great Friends level or higher.

Pokémon GO Announces Community Day Schedule for March to May

Beyond featuring Fuecoco for March’s first Community Day, Pokémon GO shared dates for Community Day events from March through May.

A February 10, 2025, news post outlined five upcoming Community Day events, all set for weekends:

Community Day Classic events reintroduce past Pokémon like Ralts, featured in August 2019 and revived in January 2025, giving trainers another chance to engage. New Pokémon will headline the other dates, though their identities remain undisclosed.

Candela or Arlo: Which Path to Pick?

The Beloved Buddies event, debuting Dhelmise, introduces Timed Research with two distinct paths featuring trainers Candela and Arlo.

The Candela path emphasizes bonding with Buddy Pokémon alongside Team Valor’s leader. The Arlo path focuses on capturing Pokémon and challenging Team GO Rocket’s leader. Both free Timed Research paths offer unique rewards.

Initial tasks reward Ultra Balls and encounters with Remoraid and Mantine before trainers select a path. The Candela path offers Poffins, Stardust, Ultra Balls, and encounters with:

　⚫︎ Rapidash

The Arlo path provides similar item rewards, substituting Poffins with a Pocket Radar for tracking Team GO Rocket leaders, and includes encounters with:
