"Fire Emblem Classic Now on Nintendo Switch Online!"

Surprise! Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones has been added to the Nintendo Switch Online library, bringing a classic from the Game Boy Advance era to modern players. Originally launched in 2004 and reaching Western audiences in 2005, this game follows the compelling journey of twin heirs, Eirika and Ephraim, as they battle to liberate their kingdom and unravel the betrayal of a former ally.

For many, this marks the first chance to experience The Sacred Stones. Released 20 years ago, it was only the second Fire Emblem game to be released outside Japan and the last to be crafted for the GBA. Our review back in 2005 gave it an 8.5/10, praising it as a sequel that parallels the evolution seen in Advance Wars 2, offering a fresh narrative while retaining the core gameplay mechanics from the 2003 GBA Fire Emblem.
