Charlie Cox's triumphant return as Daredevil in the MCU has sparked speculation about the potential comebacks of other Defenders from the Netflix series. Finn Jones, who portrayed Iron Fist, has expressed his eagerness to reprise his role as Danny Rand, stating, "I’m here and I’m ready." Jones last donned the mantle of Iron Fist in 2018 during Season 2 of the Netflix series and in the crossover event, The Defenders, where he joined forces with Daredevil/Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), Luke Cage (Mike Colter), and Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter).

Despite the less favorable reception to Jones’ portrayal of Iron Fist compared to his Defenders counterparts, the integration of the Netflix series into the MCU canon, as seen in Daredevil: Born Again, has reignited hope for the return of other characters from the Defenders universe. Recent reports suggest Marvel is "exploring" the possibility of bringing back the team.

At LaConve, an anime convention in Monterrey, NL, Mexico, Jones addressed the criticism surrounding his performance as Iron Fist. He acknowledged the fans' mixed feelings about his potential return, saying, "There is a willingness for the fans to see that happen. There’s a lot of willingness for the fans to see that not happen as well. I’m very aware of the critiques of the character and my role in it. My response to that is like, give me a f***ing chance, man. I’m here and I’m ready. I want to prove people wrong. So I would love to see that happen."

Daredevil: Born Again continues the story from the Netflix series, now firmly established within the MCU. This series not only brings back Charlie Cox as Daredevil but also features Jon Bernthal reprising his role as the Punisher. With the Netflix shows now considered part of the MCU canon, available on Disney+, the door is open for other characters from the Defenders saga to make their return.
