The Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) Alliance Raid, which debuted on December 24 following the release of Patch 7.15, challenges up to 24 players to defeat the iconic boss from A Realm Reborn's World of Darkness raid. This new raid also incorporates mechanics from the Eden raid series featured in Shadowbringers, adding a fresh twist to the encounter. Successful raiders are rewarded with Clouddark Demimateria 1 and 2, with additional amounts of the latter available for first-time clears.

Square Enix has confirmed that starting with Patch 7.16, players will be able to convert their excess Clouddark Demimateria 1 into Clouddark Demimateria 2. Although the specific exchange rate remains undisclosed, this change is expected to make it easier for players to acquire the A Half Times Two hairstyle, requiring 49 Clouddark Demimateria 2, and the Dais of Darkness mount, which demands 75 Clouddark Demimateria 2.
