Feral Interactive Updates Rome: Total War with Major Imperium Patch
For Feral Interactive, the masters of mobile porting, their work on bringing Creative Assembly's acclaimed blend of real-time strategy and grand empire building to mobile with the Total War series has been exceptional. Now, fans of Rome: Total War on Android and iOS can enjoy a significant upgrade with the Imperium Edition update.
While not identical, many of the new features in this update echo the enhancements Feral introduced in their PC remaster of Total War: Rome. These quality-of-life additions have been largely well-received, despite any critiques of the remaster itself.
So, what exactly are these new features? For seasoned players, the update introduces Positioning Mode, Melee Mode, and Automatic Deselection, all borrowed from the Medieval II port. These are designed to refine your gameplay experience.
Roman bullet time - For both new and veteran commanders, the Command Slowdown feature is a game-changer. A staple in newer Total War releases, it automatically slows down gameplay when issuing complex orders, allowing for more precise strategic decisions in the heat of battle.
And let's not forget the exciting addition of keyboard and mouse support! Now, Android and iOS players can leverage their familiar desktop controls, enhancing the tactical control and enjoyment of the original Rome: Total War in all its polygonal glory. Keep an eye out for other quality-of-life, gameplay, and additional improvements in the Imperium update, available now!
