Fantasma: An Augmented Reality Mobile Game Now with Expanded Language Support

Dynabytes' Fantasma, a multiplayer augmented reality (AR) GPS adventure game, recently received a significant update, expanding its language accessibility. The update adds Japanese, Korean, Malay, and Portuguese language support. Further expansion is planned, with German, Italian, and Spanish expected in the coming months.

This exciting development coincides with Fantasma's showcase at Gamescom Latam in Brazil. The game tasks players with locating and battling fantastical creatures using portable electromagnetic fields as bait. Combat takes place in augmented reality, requiring players to maneuver their phones to keep the creatures in view while tapping the screen to attack. Defeated creatures are then captured in special bottles.

Creatures appear based on the player's real-world location, encouraging exploration. Players can deploy sensors to expand their detection range and attract creatures from further away. A social element is also present, allowing players to team up for a cooperative experience.
