eFootball begins second volume of its collaboration with iconic manga series Captain Tsubasa

eFootball's Captain Tsubasa Collaboration Continues with Volume Two!

eFootball, the popular sports simulator, has unveiled the second installment of its exciting crossover with the iconic manga series, Captain Tsubasa. This new volume delivers a fresh batch of themed rewards for players to collect.

For those unfamiliar, Captain Tsubasa is a long-running multimedia franchise, originating as a manga by Yoichi Takahashi. It follows Tsubasa Oozora's journey from amateur to world-class professional footballer.

This update introduces new log-in bonuses, including special edition cards illustrated by Takahashi himself, featuring renowned footballers like Neymar Jr. and Lionel Messi. Players can also acquire crossover cards combining Captain Tsubasa characters with real-life legends, such as Michel Platini and Elle Sid Pierre, or Diego Forlán and Ramon Victorino.

More Than Just a Crossover

Captain Tsubasa holds a significant place in manga history, alongside Western favorites like Dragon Ball and One Piece. Its influence on the modern sports manga genre is undeniable, paving the way for titles such as Blue Lock.

Beyond the collaboration, eFootball has also launched in-game qualifiers for the eFootball Championship 2025 Open. The first round runs until February 6th, offering participants a shot at the World Championship title.
