Dune: Awakening MMO Character Creation is Open!

Developer Funcom has unleashed the Character Creator and Benchmark Mode, allowing you to craft your perfect Fremen (or not-so-Fremen) and test your PC's readiness for the harsh realities of Arrakis.

Customize every aspect of your character's appearance, choose your home planet, caste, and mentor, shaping your destiny before you even set foot on the desert planet. These creations will carry over to the full game. Early character creation also unlocks an exclusive Frameblade knife skin, redeemable at launch via code.

The Benchmark Mode takes you on a scenic (and potentially performance-intensive) tour of Arrakis, showcasing the game's visuals and identifying optimal settings for your system. You'll explore a player-built base, bustling Harko Village, and even encounter a sandworm—a true test of your rig!

Dune: Awakening will be priced at USD 49.99, with pre-orders available soon on Steam, including the "Terrarium of Muad'Dib" in-base decoration featuring the beloved desert kangaroo mouse.
