Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero Coming to Nintendo Switch 2, Saudi Ratings Hint
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has been rated for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2, even before any official announcement regarding its release on the new console. While we're still awaiting confirmation that this game, inspired by Akira Toriyama's beloved anime and manga series, will be available on the Switch 2, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, which was highlighted by the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, suggests otherwise.
The tweet, which was removed shortly after posting, stated, "Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices," and confirmed that it had been given a 12+ rating.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero elevates the iconic gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series to new heights, featuring an impressive array of playable characters, each with unique abilities, transformations, and techniques.
In our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, we awarded it a 7/10, noting, "Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."
Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 opened on April 24, with the console priced at $449.99. The pre-orders were met with overwhelming demand, as expected. On the same day, Nintendo issued a warning to U.S. customers who applied for a Switch 2 pre-order from the My Nintendo Store, indicating that release date delivery was not guaranteed due to the high demand.
