The quest begins in the bustling city of Osaka, nestled in the central part of Izumi Settsu. You'll encounter a woman in the town center who speaks of a game involving origami butterflies. These paper creations, pinned to tree trunks with real butterflies fluttering around them, are scattered throughout the city.

As you collect these butterflies, you'll uncover sinister notes revealing the true nature of the Butterfly Collector. Far from a harmless game, it's a secret group of women with a dark agenda: kidnapping children from wealthy families to gain power and influence. Your mission is to stop them by hunting down their members. There are five in total to find within the game.

Shucho

Shucho's carelessness is your entry point into the group. She lost a kidnapped child in the Fishermen’s District at the southeastern tip of Osaka. Dressed in green, she can be found frantically searching at an intersection. Dispatch her with Naoe’s blade or Yasuke’s brute force, then rescue the child hiding behind nearby horses.

Mucho

From Shucho's location, head northwest across the bridge to the Kojo ruins. Mucho, posing as a family jochu, is struggling with her target on the road south of the ruins. Use the child's resistance to approach her; she'll attack without provocation, forcing you to take her down. Escort the child back to her mother before moving on to the next member.

Richo

Richo, a young woman who blends in with the upper class despite her peasant-like speech, can be found near a bamboo grove. Local gossip will guide you to the northern end of Osaka, specifically Noda Village across the water. Inside the grove, you'll find Richo in pink. Eliminate her to save the kidnapped child.

Kacho

After dealing with the previous three, you'll confront Kacho, the leader. Her cult-like control over her followers makes her a formidable opponent. Located just north of the Nishinomaru Garden, west of Osaka Castle, in a restricted zone, you'll know you're close when you see many butterflies. Engage her in conversation, then prepare for a deadly fight. Kacho's demise leaves one final member to address.

Gamemaker

The Gamemaker, who initiated the butterfly collection quest, is your final target. Return to her marked location on the map to make a crucial decision. As a former victim, she created the game to expose the Butterfly Collector's activities and save others. You can choose to punish her for her involvement or allow her a chance at redemption and a new life. Your decision will disband the Butterfly Collector, earning you 5,500 XP toward the next level.
