"Dead Cells' Final Updates Delayed to Early Next Year"

Author : Alexis Mar 29,2025

The much-anticipated final two free updates for Dead Cells on mobile have unfortunately been delayed, but developer Playdigious has confirmed that both Clean Cut and The End is Near will now launch on February 18th, 2025. These updates promise to enrich the already popular roguelike game with new weapons, mobs, mutations, and more.

Since these updates have already graced the console and PC versions of Dead Cells, we can dive into what mobile players have to look forward to. The Clean Cut update introduces two exciting weapons: the Survival-focused Sewing Scissors and the Brutality-focused Giant Comb. Players will also meet a new NPC, the Tailor's Daughter, who offers the ability to change your character's head appearance. Beyond these, the update promises even more enhancements.

The End is Near update, despite its ominous name, adds a variety of new mobs including the Sore Loser, Curser, and Doom Bringer. Alongside these threats, players will gain access to new skills and coloreless mutations, such as Demonic Strength, which boosts your damage by 30% when cursed, with an additional 1% per Curse stack.
