Days Gone Remastered: Enhanced PS5 Experience with New Modes and Features

Bend Studio's post-apocalyptic adventure, Days Gone, is getting a remastered release for the PlayStation 5, boasting a range of new features and enhancements. Announced during Sony's February 2025 State of Play, the game will launch on April 25, 2025.

Key additions include a permadeath mode, a speedrun mode, an improved photo mode, and expanded accessibility options. A new Horde Assault arcade mode challenges players with larger-than-usual Freaker encounters. The remaster also leverages the PS5's capabilities with VRR and PS5 Pro support, promising enhanced visuals and performance. DualSense controller features, such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, are also integrated, particularly benefiting PS5 Pro users. Players can choose between Performance and Quality modes to optimize their experience.

Existing PS4 owners can upgrade to the PS5 version for $10. New PS5 players can purchase Days Gone Remastered for $49.99. Pre-orders begin tomorrow, offering eight PSN avatars and five early in-game unlocks as pre-order bonuses.

PC players aren't left out. The $10 Broken Roads DLC will bring the new modes, enhanced photo mode, and accessibility features to the PC version, along with DualSense support (if applicable).

The PlayStation Blog offers further details on the improvements made to the game's visuals and gameplay. This remastered edition represents Sony's continued effort to bring enhanced versions of popular PS4 titles to the PS5 platform, joining other upgraded releases such as The Last of Us Part I and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.
