Owlcat Games unveiled Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy, their upcoming cRPG sequel to the critically acclaimed Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader.

Debuted at Warhammer Skulls 2025, Dark Heresy casts players as Inquisitors—the Imperium's ruthless witch hunters. Here's the official description:

Immerse yourself in the shadows as an Inquisition acolyte in Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy, a gripping tactical RPG returning to the grimdark universe. Against the ominous Noctis Aeterna and the enigmatic Tyrant Star, assemble a team of outcasts—from Catachan jungle fighters to Kroot mercenaries—to purge heresy across the galaxy.
Featuring deep investigative gameplay, turn-based combat, and morally consequential decisions, Dark Heresy delivers a harrowing journey through the Inquisition's brutal operations. Building on Rogue Trader's foundations, the game introduces fully voiced dialogue and expanded mechanics.

Dark Heresy launches on PC (Steam, GOG, Epic) and next-gen consoles (PS5/Xbox Series X|S), though release timing remains undisclosed.
